My eldest daughter has just noticed that Dora The Explorer Season 5 is now on iTunes; needless to say we've bought it. I think that means we've 109 standard episodes plus quite a few of the specials.
Not quite as good as Dr Who - but not too bad compared to some of the alternatives. |

I dislike being awoken at 2am by a baby that won't shut the fuck up, despite all rational things being taken care of.

For a young baby, say under 9 months (and better still if under 6 months) the techniques described work instantly if applied correctly. Mileage will vary though since a weak-minded caregiver will not succeed in doing as instructed. Straight-jacket - swaddled to the point the child can not move. Swing - a powered one - an essential tool if you plan to sleep. Put it on fast and always sleep in it constrained by the straight-jacket. Shoosh - play a quite loud sound in the room throughout the night. The DVD has a suitable soundtrack that you can lift and loop. Shake - but do it right. Best not to guess what this might mean. Suck - we never bothered with this. There are reflex behaviors that can be exploited very effectively too. But you surely already know about these? Our kids fully understood from 6 weeks that parenting closes at 10pm and recommences no earlier than 6am. I have seen many a parent of a baby look knackered for months - they're invariably unreceptive to how to cure their problem and so I just get to pity them. |

Assuming someone sleeps for 8 hours every night. If 1 night they don't sleep, how long does it take for the body to recover and "forget" that it missed out on a sleep. I imagine its not that long. |

. . .
The outer bristles look okay but... you're saying the inner bristles are down to the plastic? What.the.fuck are you doing? Wait, wait, let me guess. You're placing your toothbrush on the top of your teeth and pressing down until the top of the tooth is as close to the plastic as you can get it and the outer bristles are sort of splayed out from the side of your teeth? I can't think how else you would fuck a toothbrush up like that. If that's what you're doing... I gotta say... you're doing it wrong. |

So how the fuck do you fuck the brush down to the plastic in a week? You're doing something wrong. Stop pressing so hard.
You were never taught by your parents how to clean your teeth, were you? |

Had an electric toothbrush ages ago, I found that the heads didn't last long, and at their price i was like 'nah'. Obviously this is due to my failing technique of brushing my teeth.
On a side note though, i've never had a filling or a tooth removed. |
