Working for the minimum wage

Hearing someone the other week tell me every employee of an outfit gets minimum wage with no payrise no matter the length of time you're working there made me think something should be done for these people.

They may or may not realise that their wage is actually going down as inflation goes up.

It shouldn't be legal to keep paying a set rate, when the next year you're effectively not paying that rate anymore as inflation -- something that can be measured and is defined -- goes up.

This particular employer doesn't care for staff turn over and doesn't care for the loss of knowledge or dedicated staff. This of course isn't limited to meaningless retail shops - it applies to all sectors and infact could apply to someone looking after your Nana.
